ASSIST Soccer Coordinator
Kurt  Pillay  will be  hosting the
clinic . Kurt  has over  20 year
of soccer expierence and played professional soccer for over 6 years

This was Kurt Pillay have to say .

I started playing soccer at the tender age of five years old, with the influence of my grandfather. He was a founder member of a local soccer club called Crusaider FC in Cape Town, South Africa.

Most of my skills I learnt at Thornhill United Football Club one of the many soccer clubs in Athlone, Cape Town. I play for Thornhill's junior team for 10 years before joining the senior team at the age of 15 years old. While on the senior team, this team was promoted from the amatuer league to the Virgina Super League. I moved from Thornhill United to Clyde Pinelands United for a year. Unfortunately I was injured and took me another year to recover.

I then joined Ottery Sinton FC, after two years they merged with a club called Stephanians FC who was a second division team and became know as Stephanians Ottery FC,  I played on thier first team in the second division for 3 years. I was invited to try out with Lightbody Santos who was in the premier soccer division at that time, I was coached by the top coaches in Cape Town at the time and was a team member for 3 years.

I then moved to a town outside of Cape Town called Durbanville and joined their soccer team, Durbanville FC  played in the Toyota Super League and won many titles while I played
for Durbanville FC.  I was then put on loaned to a second division team called Vasco Da Gama FC to help them gain promotion into the premier league.

In 2001 I immigrated to the USA, after a 2 year lay off from soccer, while living in Richmond I befriended  soccer players who played in the local Hispanic soccer league. I still play and coach a local team called Chivas FC and have wom a couple of league titles. In 2010 I have joined a local high school as the assitant  soccer coach, I am hoping to resume the postion this year again, as I feel that it time for me to give to the soccer community by passing on the skills I have acquired over the years.
